FALL 2012 & SPRING 2013 TRYOUTS

Indiana Invaders are pleased to announce sign ups for U10 and below and tryouts for U11-U18 boys’ and girls’ age groups for Fall 2012 and Spring season 2013. The tryouts will be on June 11th - 14th, 2012. Schedule for dates and times are as follows:

Team Selection
 During tryouts, each age group is evaluated by coaching staff who will determine the placement of players on specific teams.  Team selection is based on the best environment for individual development.  Our  coaching staff will select the teams for the 2012-2013 soccer season. It is our goal to make sure that we have a team for each and every player.

Our Season
Due to changes in Indiana Youth Soccer seasons beginning in the fall, our  teams will start practices in early August to prepare for league play in late August. Teams will be placed in the appropriate division where they can develop.

Training
All the teams will practice at least twice week. We also have winter training and indoor leagues for our teams to give them opportunity to play all year round.

About us.

Indiana Invaders soccer have more than 20 boys and girls youth soccer teams in Northern Indiana. Our coaching staff is made up of former pro players, college coaches, former college players and high school coaches. We have qualified coaches with USSF and NSCAA licenses. We field teams in the Indiana State League (ISL), Northern Indiana Soccer League and USL Super Y League. Through Super Y League, we have opportunity to send play to the National Olympic Development camp held in Bradenton, FL.

Each day will focus on a technical aspect of soccer: Passing and receiving, dribbling, defending and goal scoring, one topic each day.

Players will be instructed in the basic performance of the techniques and as the session moves into the afternoon the players will be placed in decision making situations in order to develop their tactical awareness.

The training program of instruction is designed to cater to the individual development of each player through a planned progression. Groups will be chosen based on age, size, ability, and experience. This ensures a motivating yet enjoyable atmosphere for every player.

The Minis Select League will be ran by professionally-licensed soccer coaches. Coaches will work closely with players to ensure they are learning new soccer skills while being challenged in a fun and safe environment. Players can expect to develop their individual soccer skills by working on footwork and technical drills with the ball. Players will also experience small sided games that focus on teamwork, fundamentals and fun.
