YOUTH ACADEMY for WINTER 2008 INDOOR

The focus of our Youth Academy is on developing proper individual player technical skills and teaching the kids to love the game.  Each session is made up time spent learning and practicing specific skills that are fundamental and necessary for each child to master properly and early in their training. Several of these skills are taught using activities that are fun for the kids, not just "robotic type drills."  At the end of each session, the kids are split up into smaller groups and they participate in mini scrimmage games.  The emphasis during this part is still placed on individual skill and technique, not tactics.  Game strategy and play tactics are pointless if a player can not control the ball properly and pass accurately.  It is our goal to help shape the talents of these young people properly.

            Tryouts: 

                        No “tryout” – we take everyone!

                        We are holding a registration night on Wednesday,  February 6, 2008 from 5:30 to 6:30pm

                       

            Winter 2008 Session

                        Fee -- $85 for NEW  players age 5-9

                        Returning Academy Players - $75

                        Pre-register in the mail using the forms above

                        NEW player fee Includes Uniform: Team t-shirt 

                        Starts on Wednesday, February 6, 2007 at 5:30

                        Runs for 7 consecutive weeks on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30/7:00 (depending on games)

                                Sessions will take place indoors.

                       

 

                        OR

                        Fee - $150 for U09 Academy Players who participate on the Academy Travel Team

                                Must be born between August 1, 1998 and July 31, 1999

                        Player fee includes travel uniform

                        4 Travel Days to play against other Academy teams in other northern Indiana clubs.

                                8 games played 2 per day on Saturdays
